Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi OTT Release: Telugu Rom-Com to Stream on ETV Win from May 8

The Telugu romantic comedy Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is now set to make its grand OTT debut after a modest theatrical performance. The film, which initially hit cinemas on April 11, failed to create a significant buzz at the box office but is hoping for a better reception in the digital world. Audiences who missed the theatrical release will now get a chance to enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes, as it is scheduled to stream on the Telugu-language OTT platform ETV Win starting May 8, 2025. This digital release could serve as a second innings for the film, offering it an opportunity to reach a wider and more diverse audience through the growing OTT ecosystem.

Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi stars popular television host and actor Pradeep Machiraju in the lead role alongside Deepika Pilli, a social media influencer-turned-actress, marking her notable entry into mainstream cinema. The story revolves around Krishna, a civil engineer from Hyderabad with an unusual life principle—never help anyone. His structured and self-centered life begins to unravel when he is assigned to a remote village named Bhairi Lanka to oversee the construction of public toilets. Upon reaching the village, Krishna encounters immediate hostility from the locals who are wary of outsiders. Bhairi Lanka is not your typical village; it’s governed by a peculiar and archaic rule that forbids any outsider from speaking to or even looking at Raja, the village’s only woman.

Raja, portrayed by Deepika Pilli, lives under strict surveillance because every eligible man in the village wishes to marry her. Krishna is allowed to stay in Bhairi Lanka only if he agrees to completely avoid Raja. However, complications arise when the villagers begin to suspect that there is more to Krishna and Raja’s relationship than meets the eye. The story builds intrigue around the mystery of Raja’s solitary existence in the village and why the villagers are so obsessed with marrying her. As the film progresses, it dives deeper into the social dynamics and underlying truths of this unusual setup, blending humor, drama, and suspense in a captivating narrative.

The movie features a strong supporting cast including the likes of Vennela Kishore, Satya, Getup Srinu, Muralidhar Goud, G. M. Sundar, John Vijay, Rohini, and Jhansi, adding comedic flair and emotional depth to the storyline. Directed by the duo Nitin – Bharath and produced under the banner of Monks & Monkeys, the film is technically polished with music by Radhan, cinematography by M. N. Balreddy, and sharp editing by Kodati Pavan Kalyan. The movie’s transition to the OTT platform could prove to be a game changer, especially for regional cinema fans looking for unique storytelling and cultural narratives.

Don’t miss the digital premiere of Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi on ETV Win from May 8 onwards.
