Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi and in surrounding areas.

On Thursday according to the National centre of Seismology (NCS) a  medium- intensity Earthquake of magnitude 4.2  measured on Richter scale occurred  in Alwar district in Rajasthan. This district was the epicenter of the earthquake and the tremors of it was felt in Delhi and in surrounding areas late in the night at 11:46pm.

 As per the reports the tremors were felt in parts of Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram as well. Immediately people rushed out of their homes in shock but there are no reports of casualties, damage of property and loss of life. 

 The reports also say that the original epicenter was 48 kilometres southwest of Gurugram in Haryana, the depth was around 7.5 Kilometres.

” Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi some time ago. Hope you are all safe” The  chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal tweeted in the morning.
