JEE Advanced Result 2025 to Be Declared on June 2, Counselling and Seat Allotment Schedule Released

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced Result 2025 is set to be released tomorrow, June 2, 2025, by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Alongside the result, the final answer key for this prestigious engineering entrance examination will also be published. Students who appeared for the JEE Advanced 2025 will be able to access their results by visiting the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. To check their result, candidates need to click on the “JEE Advanced 2025 Result” link and log in using their user ID and password. Once logged in, their scorecard will be displayed on the screen. It is crucial for students to download and print their result as it will be required during the upcoming counselling process.

Following the release of the JEE Advanced 2025 results, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will initiate the counselling and seat allotment process for eligible candidates. This process plays a vital role in determining admissions to India’s top engineering institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and various Government-Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The JoSAA counselling process is essential for students aspiring to secure a seat in these prestigious institutions and will be carried out in multiple rounds. Aspirants can refer to the official JoSAA website, josaa.nic.in, for the complete counselling schedule, guidelines, and necessary documentation.

Students can begin the registration and choice-filling process for counselling and seat allocation starting from June 2 to June 12, 2025. During this period, candidates must carefully select and prioritize their preferred institutes and courses. To assist candidates in making informed decisions, two mock seat allotments will be conducted — the first on June 9 and the second on June 11. These mock allotments are designed to give students a fair idea of the colleges they are likely to be allotted based on their choices and ranks. The final date to lock in choices is June 12, and it is mandatory to finalize preferences by this date to be considered for seat allotment.

The actual seat allotment rounds will commence soon after the choice-locking deadline. Round 1 allotment results will be announced on June 14, followed by Round 2 on June 21, Round 3 on June 28, Round 4 on July 4, and Round 5 on July 10. The final round of seat allocation for IITs and NIT+ institutes is scheduled for July 16, 2025. Each round allows students to either accept the allocated seat, float the choice for a better option in the next round, or withdraw from the counselling process altogether.

The JEE Advanced 2025 result and the subsequent JoSAA counselling are crucial steps in the academic journey of engineering aspirants across India. Candidates are strongly advised to keep a close watch on the official websites and adhere to all deadlines to avoid any complications. With lakhs of students competing for limited seats in top-tier institutes, every step — from checking the result to locking choices — must be taken with utmost care and preparation.
