Israeli Air Strike on Gaza Refugee Camp Kills 20, Reports Hospital

Gaza Strip: On Sunday, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that an Israeli air strike targeted a house in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least 20 people.

“We received 20 fatalities and several wounded after an Israeli air strike targeted a house belonging to the Hassan family,” the hospital stated.

Witnesses said the strike occurred around 3:00 am local time. The Israeli military is currently verifying the report.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, several children are among the wounded, and rescuers are searching for people trapped under the rubble.

The central Nuseirat camp has experienced intense battles and heavy bombardments since early May, as Israel launched a “targeted” operation focusing on Rafah in the south.

Clashes between Palestinian operatives and Israeli troops continue in the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.

Witnesses also reported multiple air strikes on houses across Gaza overnight, with additional shelling hitting parts of Rafah.

The Israeli military confirmed that two more soldiers were killed in Gaza the previous day, bringing the total military casualties to 282 since the ground offensive began on October 27.
