Bihar- Mob lynching in Chapra & Sheohar district. Piprahi police denied to register FIR & forced victim to withdraw the case. One died & another injured.

Mohammad Zahiruddin, a 55-year-old physically impaired Muslim driver was brutally killed by a crowd which doubted that the man was carrying beef in his truck around midnight on Thursday in Saran district of Bihar. As per the police, the mobs attack took place when the truck driver stopped the vehicle while carrying the animal bones for medicinal purposes.

On June 28th night, the cops got the information that a man was beaten up by the mobs under Jalalpur police station of Khori Pakar area. It was revealed after some time that the driver was carrying the bones of animals to the bone factory in Gaura, to the place where he resides. Mr. Mangla gave a statement that the mobs attacked him only after getting the bad odor from the truck. The driver was declared dead by the hospital during his treatment. The culprits were identified and seven people were arrested till now, the investigation is still going on and there are few more people who are involved in this incident, he said.

The police said that they found the glasses of the truck that were scattered and some slippers on the road after reaching the incident spot. The truck was seized by the police from the nearest police station and was sent to Nagra Bazar.

This incident took place in the Jalalpur police station of Saran district, when the truck was heading from Tajpur Basahi towards the bone factory in Gaura, the truck broke down in the middle of the road, which made the driver stop the vehicle to rectify it. 

When the truck driver started looking for some help, a few villagers came near the vehicle, and by smelling the meat and bone, they questioned the driver regarding the meat that was being transported. The villagers thought it was beef and started beating the truck driver, the police officials said.

The helper of the truck named Khurshid Ali ran away from the spot and saved his life. But, Mr. Zahiruddin, a resident of Manjhawali village was not able to run because one of his legs was implanted by the steel rod. The villagers attacked the driver, beat him up nicely and then they ran away. Later, when the driver was taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.

After receiving the information about the incident, Sadar Sanjay Rai, Sub-Divisional Magistrate reached the spot to enquire. Body was sent to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for postmortem by the Police officer. Mr. Rai said that seven people were arrested and the raids are still happening to arrest others.

Another incident of mob lynching took place in Bihar’s Sheohar district under piprahi police Juriduction of village Bashaia shaik. Md Asrar when tried to control the crowd not to fight, the mobs started attacking him and also threatened to kill his whole family including his kids.This incident started with a group consisting of approx 16 people, who attacked an individual victim named Md Asrar in a village Basahia shaik under Piprahi police station . But police denied to file FIR against Culprits who beat Md Asrar & threatened to kill his whole family including two childrens named Md Rehan & Zikra. Moreover they are pressurising the victim to withdraw the case.The following are culprits  who are  considered dangerous, as they keep involving in Lynching: Md Anees, Faiz Ahmad,  Sajid, Sakir, Taugiq, Anzar, Sahnaz, Tajila Khatun, Jafrul Haque, Naeem, Naseem, Waseem, Akram, Guria, Nasara Khatun, Anjuman.

The mob lynching cases has not only disturbed UP and Rajasthan, Bihar is also under the hold of Mob lynching now.The Government of Bihar must instruct the authorities to take immediate actions against Culprits of Chapra & Piprahi Sheohar Bihar. If not these Culprits may convert Bihar into Lynchistan.
