Cease-Fire Talks Stalled Amidst Escalation

The latest cease-fire discussions between Israel and Hamas have hit a deadlock as violence continues. In Israel, protests have erupted following the discovery of six hostages dead in Gaza, with demonstrators criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and calling for the return of the hostages.

Airstrikes Target Syrian Research Center

Israeli airstrikes have reportedly hit a scientific research facility in Masyaf, Syria, according to state media and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The strikes, which both sources attribute to Israel, have resulted in at least five deaths and 19 injuries. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not confirmed responsibility, in line with their usual policy on operations in Syria.

Polio Vaccination Efforts in Gaza

Israel has shut down the Jordan-Israel land crossings and the Allenby Bridge following a shooting at the Allenby crossing that killed three police officers. The gunman, who was killed by security forces, originated from Jordan, though his affiliations are unclear. The closure impacts key routes for goods entering Gaza.

Hamas Rocket Commander Killed

The IDF has announced the death of Raef Omar Salman Abu Shab, a Hamas rocket commander, in an airstrike. Abu Shab was reportedly responsible for launching rockets from Khan Younis into southern and central Israel.
