New disappearing message feature soon to be launched by Facebook on Whatsapp.

Whatsapp, a messaging app found by Brian Acton and Jan Koum which is now owned by Facebook, recently made an announcement about the launch of a new disappearing message feature on whatsapp. This feature will be globally applicable for all the users where the messages sent by the user will disappear after seven days. The company said they came up with this feature to make conversation on whatsapp feel as close to in person as possible.

They say that this feature can be enabled for individual chats as well as for group chats. But incase of group chats only the admin will have the rights to enable this feature. This new update will not affect the previous chats or conversations and media. But if once this disappearing feature is enabled, messages you sent will automatically disappear after 7 days

even if your Whatsapp is not in use. one can get back-up of these messages but it will be deleted if he/she tries to restore from the backed-up data. According to their statement the new feature will be launched this month and it has also cautioned it’s users to be careful while enabling this feature as there are chances of users copying, saving or taking a screenshot of messages.
