India is set to participate in a two-day day-night tour match in Australia.

The Indian cricket team is scheduled to play a two-day day-night tour match against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra on November 30 and December 1. This match will take place between the first and second Tests of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, which begins in Perth on November 22.

This series marks the first time since the 1991-92 season that India and Australia will face off in a five-Test series. The inclusion of the Prime Minister’s XI fixture is designed to help the Indian team acclimate to the day-night Test format ahead of their match in Adelaide, following their previous experience with this format during the 2020-21 tour.

According to Cricket Australia, this will be the first two-day Prime Minister’s XI match, whereas previous fixtures, dating back to 1951, were one-day games. This fixture is set to celebrate the longstanding cricketing relationship and the growing economic, cultural, and community connections between India and Australia.
