 Delhi Government decides to reopen Schools from 18th of this month.

In order to prepare the students for upcoming board exams the Delhi Government has decided to reopen the CBSE schools in Delhi for class 10 and class 12. From January 18 2021, the schools will resume offline classes for grade 10 and grade 12 students, they might conduct practical and internal assessment exams between March 1st  2021 and April 30th 2021 as the CBSE 2021 board exams are scheduled to begin from May1st .

On January 13th 2021 the Delhi Government issued a plan of activities regarding the academics and examinations for the schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. Incase of offline classes all the schools must follow the standard operating procedures while conducting the practical and pre-board exams.

As per the guidelines given by Delhi Government the CBSE board, pre-board examinations for the students in class10 and class12 can be held between March 20th and April 15th. It is expected that in the second week of February and second week of March the CBSE schools may conduct periodic assessments-1 and periodic assessment-2 respectively. The guidelines mentioned that “Schools will conduct Multiple Assessments from February 1, 2021 to the last week of April, 2021”. It also stated that any student or staff with the symptoms will not be allowed in the school premises and it is mandatory for all the schools to have temperature screening at the entrance and all the rules related to Covid-19 such as social distancing, wearing face mask, sanitization and hygiene is to be followed. There might be little changes in the entering and exiting time as they will have to maintain social distancing and avoid crowding at the school gates.

However, the guidelines provided by the Delhi Government are applicable to areas that are out of containment zones and the people(including students, staff and employees) living in containment zones will be restricted from entering the school campus.
