G20 Summit Delhi- African Union to become permanent member of G20 ?

As the G20 summit closes on Sunday, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India passed on the gavel to Brazil’s Lula. Initially in the morning, at the G20 summit productive discussions were made for the betterment of the planet as advised by PM Narendra Modi.

Apart from that along with PM Modi, other global leader’s like US President Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other Heads of state and government and Heads of international organizations laid one minute silence and placed garland showing reverence to our freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi.

Meanwhile, on Saturday the African Union officially joined as a new member of the G20 Summit and accepted the invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On the same day, our Prime Minister declared that delegates from 20 countries have made it to an agreement on G20 leader’s consensus at New Delhi. This declaration is important as the contemplation on the Russian-Ukraine war by the Delhi announcement was concerned by different positions.

The leaders of the G20 are engaged to work together jointly on global economic issues. This cooperation includes proceeding with feasible steps and establishing partnerships to solve significant global economic matters efficiently. They focus on fulfilling economic development that is not only strong but also sustainable, balanced, and inclusive which means aiming at economic growth while ensuring it doesn’t harm the environment, deplete resources, and benefits everyone in society, regardless of their background.

The G20 leaders are focused to speed up the application of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This aspiring schedule includes various issues such as removal of poverty, providing quality education, encouraging clean energy, and resolving climate change, among others. Acknowledging the significance of fair reach to medical resources, they direct to strengthen the making of necessary medical resources in developing countries. This attempt looks to prepare the world for the betterment of future health crises by guaranteeing an equitable distribution of crucial medical resources. In addition, the leaders are ensured to address the problem of debt sensitivity in developing nations. Their aim is to support economic flexibility and growth in these countries by finding productive resolutions to reduce their debt burden.

Apart from these declarations, the foreign minister of Ukraine said that these declarations were “nothing to be proud of” as it didn’t mention anything about Russia and was criticized for the same. Oleg Nikolenko, the Foreign Minister Spokesperson posted a screenshot of the relating section of the collaborative announcements with various bits of the text stroked in red and rectified with words which are relatable to Ukraine’s condition that it is a sufferer of unprovoked Russian mortality.
