Go First airline in crisis, pilots and crew members attended Air India’s walk-in interview

Go First airline is experiencing a tough time relating to the repayment of their debts and many of the employees were kicked out from their compartments. But, on the other hand, Air India was ready to offer job opportunities to almost 900 pilots and 4200 hostesses.

A rumor regarding the job opportunity in Air India has flooded among all the pilots and crew members of Go First.

Last Thursday, all these pilots and cabin crew had gone for the walk-in interview with Air India, people were standing in the queue outside a Tata group hotel near Delhi, the situation actually looked like a movie scene, where the disloyalty always seems unavoidable in the end.

One of the pilots made a statement that they have to keep flying in order to keep their license valid and a 27-year old pilot from Go First airline claimed that he is very much excited to work with his dream airline Vistara and also said that their future would be secured in the hands of Tata Group.

The two airlines of Tata Group are on their way to get their companies merged into a larger Air India brand to retain in the business by providing full service bearers to all its passengers. Air India had placed the order of 470 planes, the largest aircraft order ever from Airbus and Boeing.

Air India was bought back by the Tata Group in the previous year and now it is on its way to offering new flight plans which include 4200 cabin crew and 900 pilots.

Air India received almost 700 applications in response to their advertisement regarding the requirement of pilots and many more applications in the future.

Vistara also conducted the interview in Delhi and Mumbai for the pilots and the other crew members.

A Linkedin post was posted on Thursday regarding the requirements for captains, trainers and co-pilots in the Tata Group of airlines for those who had an endorsement in A320. The interview was conducted on Thursday in Bengaluru and Gurugram and also in Mumbai on Friday last week.

The Indian Aviation Industry was hit really hard during the pandemic times, as the passenger numbers declined due to the Covid-19 situations. With the situation becoming normal, it is expected that the airlines would improve and come back on track after this post pandemic period.

The CEO of Go First airline was determined to give back life to the company. But, most of his employees were diverted by the job opportunity which was offered by the Tata Group of airlines. He also said that the sole supplier of engines A320neons failed to meet the agreement obligations and revoked the collaboration with arbitration award from the (SIAC) Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
