Medico – Malady – The hundreds of resident doctors on strike in Delhi.

It is found that hundreds of doctors are on strike in Delhi. The junior doctors in hospitals
continued to boycott work for the 13th consecutive day in different hospitals of Delhi. They were
protesting seeking a reason for the delay in NEET – PG counselling. According to the report of
FORDA (Federation of Resident Doctor’s Association), there were 5000 to 6000 resident
doctors from multiple city hospitals, who are protesting the case. These doctors were brutally
beaten by police officers for the protest. The Hindu newspaper had stated in its recent news
website.
These doctors stayed away from covid-19 duty and went to protest on the road. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, FORDA met them regarding the news of the doctor’s protest. But the talk was unfair, thus the protest continued. The doctors were unsatisfied with a conversation with the Union Minister. As per FORDA’s statement, the resident doctors of other states and cities also boycotted their duty and joined in the protest.

This news is really unfair as it shows the irresponsibility of the government. Students were waiting for a long time for the counselling of NEET-PG but they have not received a single notification about the progress. So this geared the resident doctors to take up the step of protesting against the government of Delhi.

As per my suggestion, the government needs to take quick steps regarding education matters because students will be tense each and every second. They are worried about their higher education and this will be their first step to build their careers. So the government should release the notification regarding NEET-PG counselling as soon as possible.
