25 passengers died as CNG Ac Bus catches fire on Samuruddhi mahamarg expressway Maharashtra. 

On Saturday, early in the morning at around 2am a bus heading from Nagpur to Pune caught fire as the driver lost control and hit the pole at Samuruddhi Mahamarg, Buldhana, Maharashtra. As the bus hit the pole and a wall on the highway, two front tyres separated from the vehicle and the diesel tank exploded. This tragedy led to the death of 25 people and injury of seven people.

The driver who was sleeping inside the bus died while the one who was driving survived in the accident and is suspected to have fallen asleep while driving, a FIR  is registered against him.

Local and highway traffic police and a few officials from government agencies reached the spot soon after they got to know about the incident and the injured were taken to the nearby hospital.

The state government has decided to give a compensation of Rs.5 lakhs to the victim’s families while prime minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of  Rs.2 lakh for the  deceased one’s kin. Several ministers expressed their condolences.

Recently in this year, we witnessed railway accidents in our country which took away innocent lives and now unfortunately this bus accident in Maharashtra.
